Some things change from season to season, but the Boston Bruins first line should stay the same.

The Boston Bruins first line was arguably one of the best in the entire NHL. These guys seem to have been born to play with each other. Their chemistry is at a level that most players can’t reach.

Now, this offseason some are saying that maybe it is time to split up the fantastic line. You could move David Pastrnak down to the 2nd line where he will be reunited with David Krejci, but the Bruins need to keep the dominant first line together.

The Bruins first line combined for 228 points. They were the driving force of the Bruins offense. Without their dominance, it is hard to think the Bruins would have ended up as one of the top teams in the league.

Even in the playoffs, the first line were comprised of the top 3 scorers on the team. They combined for over 50 points. No one else could put the puck in the net, but the first line was always there to save the day.

The straw that stirs the drink

As the Bruins head into next season, they should make sure to keep the first line together. The Bruins young core gained some experience, but the first line will hold the team together. Both Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron missed some time so it makes your mouth water imagining the numbers these guys could put up in a full season.

The Bruins need to work on strengthening the lower lines. Ryan Donato should be playing every day. Jake Debrusk and Donato could be a dangerous duo flanking Krejci.

Also, the Bruins should make an effort to re-sign Sean Kuraly and Tim Schaller to keep together their great fourth line.

The Bruins have a really solid core group of guys. They don’t need to completely rebuild the roster. If the Bruins can add a goal scorer on the 2nd and 3rd line they should be the favorite to win the Eastern Conference.

The Boston Bruins first line was the best part of the team last season. They came up clutch and were relied on to score goals when the Bruins needed them. So the B’s need to keep this fantastic line together.
