Boston Bruins fans should be happy where they ended up in the overall FanSided Fandom 250 rankings, but won’t be happy when they see the No.1 NHL team.

Every year FanSided ranks fan bases from sports, pop culture, and brands. The latest list being released on Wednesday. Boston Bruins fans should be pretty pleased with their location.

The Bruins ended up 57th overall and 3rd in the NHL. That is a sweet spot to be in.

B’s fans are well deserving of the honor. No matter how the team is doing they will always support the boys in black and gold. The TD Garden is always rocking on game days from the glass to the bleachers.

Now I do have to admit I have one gripe with the rankings. How can you put us behind the Montreal Canadiens? That’s just mean. That’s like putting Luke Skywalker behind Darth Vader.

It may be biased, but I would say that Boston has better fans than Montreal based on the fact that we don’t try to press criminal charges for actions on the ice. Also when you google “Montreal fans” one of the most common phrases that appear is “are the worst.”

It’s not surprising to see the Bruins so high on the list. They have some popular players. Brad Marchand is known around the league for his on-ice antics but is also one of the best wingers in the NHL today. David Pastrnak is having the best season of his career and scoring highlight reel goals.

So Boston Bruins fans should be pleased with their rankings. Hopefully next year we will see the Boston Bruins ranked No.1 in the NHL. It only seems right for a team with such amazing fans and storied history.
