4. Bruce Cassidy needs to be more creative with the lines

One of the reasons that the Bruins are too top heavy is because of their lines.

More from Boston Bruins

I love having Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and David Pastrnak on the same line, but it causes some problems. The Bruins have struggled to get scoring from any other line.

Now due to injuries we saw Bruce Cassidy switch up the lines and the Bruins were pretty successful. Overall the team just seemed well balanced. David Krejci seemed to really appreciate having Pastrnak on the wing.

With an almost completely healthy roster, Bruce Cassidy reverted to the norm and brought Pastrnak back up for the team’s latest game against the New Jersey Devils.

If the Bruins want to be successful they need to get scoring from other sources. By dropping Pastrnak you improve all the other lines. Guys should have more and more scoring opportunities.

So hopefully we will see Bruce Cassidy make some changes sooner rather than later.
