Kyrie Irving shared a moment with the Boston Celtics crowd on Wednesday night and now it seems like the star point guard is making Boston his home.

Wednesday was a great night for Boston Celtics fans. The team finally got back in the win column and Kyrie Irving was a major reason why.

Irving had a phenomenal game. He was the dominant player that Boston Celtics fans know and love. It might have been Irving’s best game as a Celtic.

The point guard did everything right. He was hustling on defense, diving for loose balls, distributing the ball, and of course, scoring with ease.

More from Chowder and Champions

Irving had 27 points, 18 assists, and 5 rebounds. What more could you ask from your point guard?

There was one defining moment in this game. I think all Boston Celtics fans may have shed a tear when it happened.

Irving took a deep three. I think Steph Curry may have even been impressed with this shot. Of course, Kyrie made the shot over Kawhi Leonard, but what happened next proves that Irving isn’t going anywhere.

Kyrie was amped and pointed to the parquet floor and grabbed the Boston on his jersey. You could see the passion in Irving’s eyes and his love for this team.

Also, you have to factor in Kyrie’s public apology to his teammates. Jaylen Brown was critical of Irving’s comments about the younger guys in the locker room. He said the Celtics can’t be pointing fingers and need to have each other’s backs.

Irving didn’t need to apologize. He has earned respect with how succesful of a player he has been, but Irving has what it takes to be a great leader. When challenged he doesn’t get mad. Irving listened to his young teammate and is trying to become better.

If Irving was leaving there would be no need for him to apologize. He wouldn’t be dealing with these teammates next year. It is clear that Irving wants to be respected by the guys in the locker room.

Next. We may be seeing the last of Terry Rozier. dark

So stay calm and just enjoy Kyrie Irving’s greatness. I don’t think he will be leaving the Boston Celtics anytime soon.
