4, Stephon Gilmore

Stephon Gilmore didn’t have a perfect game, but he made the perfect play when it mattered the most. This was a common theme for the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Gilmore will be remembered for his great play in the 4th quarter. He did a good job of shutting down Brandin Cooks even though Cooks was able to make some big plays.

The most important play came when the Patriots unleashed an all-out blitz on Jared Goff and he chucked the ball up and Gilmore went up and made a great interception.

Gilmore proved this season that the Patriots made the right decision choosing him over Malcolm Butler. This was probably Gilmore’s best season of his career. He was the defensive MVP for the New England Patriots this season.

Now Stephon Gilmore has what he has wanted most, a Super Bowl ring and he will be the core of the New England Patriots defense for the near future.
