The New England Patriots are still supporting Josh Gordon and it seems like the Pats want to have Gordon back.

When Josh Gordon announced he was stepping away from the New England Patriots to focus on his mental health it stunned Pats fans. The most recent news regarding Gordon may be even more shocking to fans.

It was revealed that the organization is paying for Gordon’s treatment at an inpatient facility in Gainesville, Fla.

I have to say that I am proud of the Patriots. Gordon has made plenty of money so he can probably afford treatment, but the organization seems to genuinely care about Gordon’s health.

Gordon isn’t just getting financial support. Phillip Dorsett and Chris Hogan talked about how great a player and person Gordon is.

When Gordon announced he was stepping away there were reports that Gordon had failed another drug test. That means he would be suspended when he returns to the team.

It seemed like Gordon had played his last game in a Patriots uniform, but all of this information makes it seem like New England isn’t done with Gordon just yet.

We all saw how great of a receiver Gordon can be. In just 11 games for the New England Patriots, Gordon had 40 catches for 720 yards and 3 touchdowns. He still managed to be the Patriots 2nd best wide receiver.

The Patriots would have to be without Gordon for a significant time due to his many suspensions, but the wideout is only 27. He definitely has a few good years left in the tank.

New England will definitely need some receivers in the near future. Chris Hogan and Julian Edelman are both past the wonderful age of 30.

Their careers are on the decline. Josh Gordon could provide some support in the near future while New England searches for their new No.1 wide receiver.

It may just be me, but I hope we see Josh Gordon back in a New England Patriots uniform one day.
