The New England Patriots will be looking to repeat as Super Bowl champions in 2019 and will need to re-sign these 5 players if they want to do so.

The New England Patriots are enjoying their 2018 success but they will soon have to focus on what to do in 2019.

New England has a ton of players hitting the free agency market. The Pats have over 20 players that are eligible for free agency. That’s almost half of the active roster.

This means that some tough decisions would have to be made. The New England Patriots roster could look completely different,

It is always tough to see these guys go but it is just part of the business. You can’t give everyone the deal that they desire. Robert Kraft would have to write a mighty big check if that was the case.

When a team wins the Super Bowl you want to bring back as many guys as possible. There is no need to fix what isn’t broken, but there are some players on this team that won’t be a major loss if they leave the team.

For example, Chris Hogan isn’t really needed here in New England. Tom Brady barely targeted him last season. If the Patriots don’t decide to bring him back I don’t think fans will be rioting in the street.

So here are the 5 players that the New England Patriots need to re-sign this offseason.
