Boston Bruins: A healthy roster is a Stanley Cup contender
By Sam Minton
With David Pastrnak ready to return, the Boston Bruins are one of the best teams in the NHL. Hopefully we will be celebrating another championship in the streets of Boston at the end of the season.
The Boston Bruins have been playing some great hockey as of late. Now that they have their best goal scorer back things seem like they will get even better.
David Pastrnak has been out for a while due to a thumb injury that was sustained when leaving a team function. The injury required surgery and for a player who was having the best season of his career, the news was devastating.

It seemed like Pastrnak was on his way to possibly winning the Hart Trophy. In 56 games he had 31 goals and 35 assists. He was Boston’s go-to guy for a majority of the season.
Now that he is back, the Bruins seem primed for a long run in the playoffs. The acquisitions of Charlie Coyle and Marcus Johansson didn’t seem like anything special when they were announced but they have become quality players since coming to Boston.
The Bruins have depth and that should scare opposing teams.
Boston has also been getting some good goaltending. Once again Tuukka Rask has found himself at the end of the season. He has won 7 of his last 10 games.
The Bruins also have a great backup. Jaroslav Halak continues to be the steal of free agency last season. He has played some fantastic games including his last appearance against the Colombus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.
Pastrnak will get a 3-week warmup before the playoffs. Hopefully he will be able to find his groove and get back to scoring goals.
If David Pastrnak and the Bruins find their rhythm there may not be a team in the NHL that can beat them.
