BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS – JANUARY 05: Patrice Bergeron #37 of the Boston Bruins(Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images) /

Patrice Bergeron

If Patrice Bergeron ever leaves the Boston Bruins I will disown the team. Bergeron is the Boston Bruins. Without him, the team ceases to exist.

When Bergeron is on the ice it is like the Bruins play at a whole other level. He is such a great leader on and off the ice. He just makes everyone better.

Bergeron continues to get better with age. This year is the best of his career. Bergeron has 32 goals and 47 assists.

Now Bergeron may not be the young guy he used to be, but the Bruins need to make sure that he stays with the team. There is no need for another Ray Bourque situation.

Patrice Bergeron is everything the Boston Bruins represent. Letting him play for another team would be a travesty.

All of these 5 players deserve to spend the rest of their careers in Boston and hopefully they do. Boston sports wouldn’t be the same.
