NEWARK, NEW JERSEY – MARCH 21: Patrice Bergeron #37 of the Boston Bruins (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images) /

3. Patrice Bergeron

The heart and soul of the Boston Bruins had an equally impressive season to David Pastrnak, but I’m going to give the edge to the young guy for the sheer amount of goals he put up. Pasta is basically 2A. and Bergeron is 2B.

Bergeron battled through some brutal injuries and came back like he never missed a game. In the same amount of games as Pastrnak he scored 32 goals and 47 assists.

I swear Patrice Bergeron gets better with age. You can make Zdeno Chara and Tom Brady comparisons all day, but Bergy is more like TB12. He is still one of the best at his position.

Having a guy like Bergeron on your team is extremely valuable. He has playoff experience and can lead a team all the way to the Stanley Cup finals.

Bergeron deserves more than one Stanley Cup and hopefully he gets his 2nd this year.
