There are some players that will divide the Boston Bruins fan base but after Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, Torey Krug should firmly be in fans good graces.

The Boston Bruins have some of the craziest fans in all of sports. Their loyalty and dedication is unmatched, but can also make things difficult when you are a struggling player.

There are certain players on Boston’s roster that cause a civil war amongst the fan base. Tuukka Rask used to be one of these players, but after his performance so far in the postseason, the Rask haters finally realize how great he is.

Another player that sparks debate among Bruins fans is Torey Krug. He is one of these guys that you either love or hate.

Krug isn’t your typical defenseman. He is a smaller guy and does most of his damage in the offensive zone.

When Krug isn’t scoring, some fans will jump on him saying that he is a defensive liability and might as well be traded. I don’t think you will hear anyone say that anytime soon.

In Game 1 Krug had his moment. The moment that will forever live in Bruins history.

Bruins fans love when a player lays the lumber. Guys like Milan Lucic, Shawn Thornton, and Adam McQuaid were loved for their physicality even though there play may have been lacking.

Krug was battling with David Perron back in the Bruins zone while the play moved up the ice. In the tangle, Krug ended up losing his helmet and was not a happy camper.

So what did Krug decide to do? He steamrolled down the ice like a locomotive and absolutely blew up Robert Thomas.

That video should be in a museum. That is what hockey is all about.

dark. Next. What a Stanley Cup victory could mean for Bruins' legacy

So let’s just admire Torey Krug for what he is, an amazing hockey player.
