Boston Bruins: Zdeno Chara is toughest human alive
By Sam Minton
After Game 4 it seemed like the Boston Bruins were going to be without Zdeno Chara for the rest of the Stanley Cup Finals, but Chara has defied the odds and looks ready to play on Thursday.
I can’t believe what we are seeing. When Zdeno Chara went down it did not look good. It appeared that the Boston Bruins were going to lose another defenseman for a while, but Zdeno Chara isn’t a regular human.
At this point I think we can declare Zdeno Chara the toughest human being alive. Even Patrice Bergeron and Gregory Campball must be stunned by Chara’s toughness.

Bruins fans were anxiously waiting to see if Chara would skate. On Wednesday he was a no show at practice and things didn’t look good.
The speculation began that Chara was out for the playoffs because he suffered a broken jaw. Noted hockey insider Christian Fauria stated so.
Well it looks like Fauria should stick to football since he was wrong on this one (credit to the former tight end he did state last night that Matt Grzelcyk would play which seems highly likely).
Zdeno Chara was present at practice and wasn’t even wearing a non-contact jersey. That’s my captain!
You’ll notice that Chara’s helmet has been upgraded. He basically has a “bubble” without the front piece. His chin and jaw are covered up, but Chara’s sight won’t be impaired.
I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. The fact that Zdeno Chara isn’t even in a non-contact jersey is insane. Chara deserves a statue outside TD Garden right now. The arena is already under construction, might as well add another project.
This is the stuff of legends. Zdeno Chara etched his name in Boston Bruins folklore.
Hopefully his effort isn’t for naught and the Boston Bruins will be lifting the Stanley Cup at the end of the series.
