The Boston Celtics signed Tacko Fall on Friday, and he could become a big part of this year’s team.

The 2019 NBA Draft was an interesting one for Boston Celtics fans. Boston selected some players that could have an impact on the team while others look like they have the potential to be busts.

Now a lot of fans wanted the Celtics to go after Bol Bol. He is a giant standing at 7’2″ and is also a surprisingly good perimeter shooter.

Unfortunately the Celtics decided against drafting Bol and left fans wondering who their starting center was going to be (Currently it is Robert Williams).

Well now things are interesting. The Celtics somehow managed to go bigger. They signed Tacko Fall.

Fall will make LeBron James look short. Fall is an insane 7’6″. He also has a wingspan of 8’2″.

Now Fall definitely has a lot to learn. He is just an average player that doesn’t possess a ton of skill.

Last season at UCF, Fall averaged 11.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game.

Now immediately Fall can be a wall in the paint. It’s really hard to shoot over a guy as big as him. Like they say “you can’t teach height.”

The main thing that Fall needs to work on is his offense. The game is expanding outwards so hopefully Fall can develop a game outside of the paint. This would also make him a threat coming off of pick and rolls.

Fall will have to prove he belongs in the NBA. The Celtics signed him to an exhibit 10 contract which is a non-guaranteed deal. Fall will have to play well in the Summer League if he wants a chance to stay in Boston.

Next. Carsen Edwards could be the steal of the draft. dark

There is definitely a lot of work ahead of Fall, but if he can develop his skills in the offseason he will be a force to be reckoned with.
