New England Patriots: Josh Gordon has to play in 2019
By Sam Minton
The NFL decided to not suspend Tyreek Hill and if justice still exists the New England Patriots will have Josh Gordon on the field to start the regular season.
The NFL is a flawed league that is for sure. New England Patriots have great reason to have a gripe with the league, but the news on Friday is sad to say the least.
Domestic Violence and the NFL sadly go hand in hand. It is stunning how many players get accused or convicted. The Ray Rice suspension really brought this problem to the forefront of the discussion surrounding the league.

Once again Domestic Violence has dominated the offseason thanks to Tyreek Hill. The wide receiver made threatening comments to his fiance, was accused of breaking his 3-year-old’s arm.
The NFL said it was unable to find any conclusive evidence (even though audio was released showing that Hill was threatening his fiance) that Hill violated league rules.
This is just disgusting. The fact that he is escaping this with not even a slap on the wrist is just terrible. Everyone has heard Hill threaten his fiance.
Now the question is will we finally get an update on Josh Gordon. If the NFL is going to give Hill a pass what will happen to Gordon.
The reason that Gordon is currently is suspended is for smoking marijuana. Fun fact this is legal in Massachusetts. If Hill isn’t suspended please tell me why Gordon is suspended?
If Gordon is available to start the regular season it would be a major help. With the loss of Rob Gronkowski the team will need all the help they can get.
A healthy wide receiving corps could consist of Julian Edelman, Demaryius Thomas, N’Keal Harry, and Josh Gordon. That sounds like a lot of touchdowns to me.
So we will just have to wait and see what happens to Josh Gordon. Hopefully the NFL doesn’t drop the ball again.
