While the talk surrounding Tom Brady is whether he ends his career in a New England Patriots uniform, his focus is solely on the now.

Over the last two decades, there has been no more committed player to an organization than Tom Brady has been to the New England Patriots.

So, when it comes down to whether he will end his career with the team he won six Super Bowl championships with, it should be a foregone conclusion.  We all know that is the case when it comes to Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

However, Bill Belichick is a different story and even Brady knows the future beyond 2019 is not guaranteed.  While he did get a raise with his new deal, the provisions of the contract do allow him to be a free agent once the season ends.  So, basically, the great Tom Brady is on a year-to-year contract with the team he has led for going on 20 NFL seasons.

How does he feel about that?

Well, being the company man that he is, he understands the business and just focusing on now as highlighted by his appearance on The Greg Hill Show Monday morning.

"“With the team, obviously I have had incredible success as this team has had over the last 20 years,” Brady said, as transcribed by WEEI. “We have a great relationship and if anything the Patriots have taught me, it is being in the present and not resting on what has happened in the past and certainly not worrying what is happening in the future. I am excited to get out there and play this year and do what I hope to do for this team, which is be a great leader, be a great example, be a great player. And then beyond that, there’s just too much work to be done between now and next season. There’s no point in really worrying about it. That is how I feel.”"

Brady went on to talk about the team not being able to franchise him as part of the great relationship he has with the team.  Now, this may all mean nothing if the 42-year-old quarterback decides 2019 is his last season.

As of now, he wants to play until he’s 45 and looks as though he can, but with the way the game flows, that can change any game on any play depending on how his body is responding to the physical abuse.

Does he still want to finish his career with the New England Patriots?

That was the most interesting part of his appearance on The Greg Hill Show because he didn’t give a straightforward answer.  He basically said he can only control what he could control meaning that he knows even though he obviously wants to finish his career in New England, it is not just up to him.
