Tom Brady is one of the greatest players in NFL history but it doesn’t look like the New England Patriots quarterback will be spreading his knowledge when he decides to retire.

One would think that Tom Brady’s love for the game of football would mean that he would want to stay in the game forever. Well, the New England Patriots quarterback gave a rather definitive answer on Thursday.

Now there are many reasons why you would expect Brady to want to coach beside his love for the game of football.

More from Chowder and Champions

Some critics will say that he is only great because of Bill Belichick. If Brady was to become an equally successful coach it would prove that his talent and knowledge of the game may in fact be the reason the Patriots were so successful.

Also, Brady has already reached the mountaintop as a player. The man has won 6 Super Bowl’s. What more can he do?

Well having Super Bowl’s as a coach and a player would be pretty cool. Brady would be the NFL’s modern-day version of Bill Russell.

But that won’t be happening. Tom Brady has no desire to coach once he retires.

This does make a lot of sense. Imagine the great Tom Brady having to deal with a struggling rookie quarterback. He would expect the rookie to make all these difficult throws just because he used to back in the day.

Also Brady has given his life to football. As we have seen later in his career he has put more of a focus on his family. Why would he give up relaxing with his family to try and be a head coach?

Next. Imagine Jadeveon Clowney playing for Belichick. dark

So don’t expect Tom Brady to patrol the sidelines when his playing days are over. When his career is over he will be done with football.
