New England Patriots: Rob Gronkowski thought about retirement for a while
By Sam Minton
Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski revealed that he had been thinking about retirement for a long time.
Finally we are getting a peek into the mind of former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. As more info is revealed it seems like the tight end won’t be coming back.
We already heard Gronk talk about all the injuries he had to deal with in his announcement that he was partnering with CBDMEDIC. Gronkowski talked about how he could feel fluid in his brain. That is scary to hear.

Also we heard Gronkowski talk about his struggles after the Patriots latest Super Bowl victory. He couldn’t sleep and was crying in bed due to pain in his thigh. Gronk ended up having to get 1000 milliliters of blood drained from his leg.
Gronkowski appeared on LeBron James show “The Shop.” On the show musicians, athletes, and other cultural forces talk about some of the latest news going on in multiple subject areas.
Obviously with Gronkowski’s recent retirement the topic was bound to come up and the tight end didn’t hold back.
This once again makes it seem that Gronkowski won’t be coming back. It’s not like this was a split decision. Gronkowski thought about retiring for 2 years.
Also the fact that Gronkowski was getting smoked by rookies is quite surprising (well at least to me). He is the greatest tight end of all time. You would think that he would be able to keep up, but that wasn’t the case.
I don’t think Gronkowski could make it any clearer. It would take a miracle for him to return to the NFL.
So it looks like Rob Gronkowski has officially closed this chapter of his life and is now focused on life after football. One thing is for sure, whatever Gronk ends up doing he will have loads of fun. Especially now that he isn’t getting beat up week in and week out.
