The New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon loves what he sees in new wide receiver Antonio Brown after both share the practice field.

Every New England Patriots fan at this point knows star wide receiver Antonio Brown comes with a lot of off-the-field baggage, but on the field, the man is one of the top two wide receivers in the world.

So, let’s set aside his legal situation and past drama and admire what he can bring to a Patriots offense led by future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Tom Brady and an offensive attack that suddenly had Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon also in the mix.

Speaking of Gordon, in dealing with his own off-the-field baggage, the talented wide receiver can cast no judgement on what Antonio Brown is deal with in his personal life, but on the field, the Gordon knows a hardworking wide receiver when he sees one and to that he is throwing nothing but compliments towards Brown’s way.

More from Chowder and Champions

"“Dedicated player.  One of the hardest-working guys in the league,” Gordon said Friday afternoon, as transcribed by WEEI.  “He’s come in here every day and done the same thing.  He’s lived up to the great Antonio Brown name.”"

While Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders fans may have something to say about Brown’s dedication, there is no doubt the man who entered the league as a sixth-round pick knows what it takes to work hard.  It is that dedication that now has him built as one of the best in the league.  And it is his own expectations that is fueling him to deliver with the New England Patriots.

Whether those expectations actually pan out is only up to Antonio Brown.  As Josh Gordon knows himself, it’s going to take some time to pick up the offense.

"“It can definitely be tough.  I know it was for me,” Gordon said.  “Everybody else will get it differently, sometimes fast, sometimes slower, it just depends on how fast you can get rid of what you once knew to adopt a new…everything: environment, offense, way of life.”"

Although Antonio Brown is coming to the Patriots with a lot more baggage than Josh Gordon, it is a similar situation.  A playmaker without a world of talent coming to catch the football from Tom Brady.  If it works out, sky is the limit for both the player and the team.  If it doesn’t work out, even the great Antonio Brown can be cast aside just like other receivers who came, tried and went on their marry way.

So, Sunday we will see.  The NFL will be watching and of course anyone attached or even associated with the New England Patriots will be watching to see if Brown even plays.  If he does, how will he look on the field with Josh Gordon also on the field.

It’s actually funny. A few seasons ago, Patriots fans would’ve seen this duo as an impossible dream.  Now, with both actually wearing flying Elvis helmets, it’s more of a luxury rather than a necessity.  Tom Brady is certainly ready to feast.
