Rob Gronkowski made his debut on Fox Sports and he sure made it sound like a return to the New England Patriots was still possible.

Well the New England Patriots once again dominated the New York Giants in the regular season. The game was rough to watch and a prime example of why the NFL should get rid of Thursday night games.

Patriots fans though were excited for a debut. Sadly it just wasn’t on the field. Rob Gronkowski made his debut for Fox Sports on Thursday night and boy was it a doozy.

More from Chowder and Champions

Gronk was his usual fun self and was cracking jokes left and right. He will definitely be an interesting watch week in and week out.

Besides giving a hilarious description of Julian Edelman, Gronkowski was asked if this meant that he would finally say that he is absolutely done with football.

Gronk did quite the opposite. He said that he will always leave that door open and that he would have to feel very well in order to make a return.

Now I am still leaning towards Gronkowski never returning to the NFL. He has taken such a beating and has found happiness after leaving the game. He also seems to have a great career opportunity over at Fox Sports.

But Gronkowski refuses to make that final separation. He hasn’t put in his final paperwork and he has yet to publicly say that he isn’t coming back. It’s good for Gronk because there will always be buzz around his name but if he knows what’s good for him and his future he will stay retired.

Now just when we thought we could forget about Rob Gronkowski coming back to the Patriots he pulls us back in. But don’t expect Gronk to suit up for New England any time soon.
