Stephon Gilmore was dominant once again in Week 11 and continued to prove he is the best defensive player on the New England Patriots.

It’s not surprising to hear that Stephon Gilmore played great for the New England Patriots once again, but he might have reached new heights of domination in Week 11.

Gilmore was covering multiple targets on Sunday. One of those players was tight end Zach Ertz. It wasn’t a fun time for one of the best in the game at his position.

With Gilmore covering him Ertz was only able to grab 1 catch on 3 targets. Not a great performance at all. Gilmore locked him down.

Now one thing the Patriots are known for is extensive film study and preparation. They know more about opponents than anyone else.

There was one thing that Gilmore keyed on when it came to covering Ertz. He loves to whine like a baby and that’s what he did against New England.

"“Yeah, he was crying,” Gilmore said. “He do that on film a lot. If you get into him, if he don’t get the ball or if he doesn’t get a call, he’ll cry. But he’s a good receiver, a good tight end. He’s a great player.”"

It’s 2019 it’s fine to show emotion but that is definitely a rough sight. I would not want to be in the huddle across from Ertz.

What do you say to him? “Get him next time buddy, you can do it.”

Gilmore is just having an amazing season. He could seriously have a chance at being defensive player of the year. Gilmore already has 3 interceptions and I think he will have a few more before the season is over.

The stats don’t even show the true nature of Gilmore’s success. He is just all over guys and they can’t fo anything against him. It doesn’t matter if it’s the leagues best tight end or the best wide receiver in the NFL.

So the New England Patriots and Stephon Gilmore continue to roll through the season. Let’s see if Gilmore can top his latest performance.
