The Boston Celtics will be facing Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets soon and Danny Ainge is hoping that Irving won’t be booed. Does Ainge not care about the fan base?

The Boston Celtics fanbase has some strong feelings about Kyrie Irving and you can’t blame them. His time in Boston was a humongous letdown.

Fans are waiting for their chance to give Irving a piece of their mind at TD Garden. He surely will hear it November 27th when The Nets come to play the Celtics for the first time since Irving abandoned the team.

I wish I could be there. It will be an insane experience. The Garden might be the loudest place on Earth.

But Danny Ainge seems to be against this. For some reason he thinks that Boston Celtics fans shouldn’t boo Kyrie Irving.

"“I think that’s a sad commentary,” Ainge said during a Thursday interview on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Toucher & Rich.” “But I understand it just because I know there’s been a lot of negative attention.”“I understand all that,” Ainge added. “I just think it’s a bad conclusion to come to. It’s not really fair.”"

You know what my response to that is? Boo Danny Ainge!

Why is Ainge defending Kyrie Irving? He definitely caused more problems for Ainge when he was with the team.

I get that Ainge has to be somewhat of a middle man. He can’t flat out say destroy Irving every time he touches the ball. Ainge wants free agents to feel comfortable coming to Boston.

But don’t tell fans that it would be bad to do so. Ainge didn’t have this type of response when Ray Allen made his return to Boston after bailing on the team.

Ainge has done a lot for the team I can understand that, but this really struck me. It’s basically him trying to control the fan base.

So I think Ainge will be disappointed when the day finally comes. We all know what is going to happen. Kyrie is going to get booed every single time he touches the ball and Celtics fans will love every single second of it, no matter what Ainge says.
