Boston Bruins: New alternate jerseys are awful
By Sam Minton
The Boston Bruins unveiled their new alternate jersey’s and with all the options the team had these are just plain awful.
During a season ticket holders event, the Boston Bruins unveiled their new 3rd jersey to the world. While some think the jersey looks good I have to disagree.
When just taking a look at the jersey it’s not all that bad. The jersey looks clean and will probably look great on the ice.

It seems that the Bruins are taking a minimalist approach as the jersey looks like a broken down version of their normal home jersey.
The jersey does have some history behind it. It pays homage to the early years of the team when Milt Schmidt was playing.
So it is hard to be mad at the Bruins for this jersey design but I am. There just seems to be much better options.
When looking at this jersey all I can think about is one thing…
The Bruins need to bring back the pooh bear jerseys. These were the jerseys that a lot of us grew up on. I can remember seeing guys like Glen Murray and Sergei Samsonov wearing these beauties.
Some people hated them, but I loved them. Also I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the bear to once again be the focal point of the 3rd jersey. We haven’t seen this since 2016 and still the bear was a minor part of the logo.
The pooh bear jersey’s weren’t just a flash in the pan thing either. They wore these jerseys for 10 years.
So even though these jerseys aren’t all that bad. I wish the Boston Bruins would pay homage to some more recent history.
We will see the new 3rd uniforms on Friday and will get a chance to see how they look in action.
