Why does the NHL hate the Boston Bruins
By Sam Minton
It seems like every week we are hearing how the Boston Bruins got screwed by the referees. Well, it seems like the numbers back that up as well.
This season sure has been interesting for the Boston Bruins. At one point they seemed unstoppable and now it seems like they can’t buy a win.
Thankfully the Bruins were able to snap their losing streak on Saturday night by defeating the Florida Panthers. Hopefully, they can turn this into a winning streak.

Now the Bruins have some problems. Particularly the Bruins 2nd line could use some work. Jake DeBrusk and David Krejci need someone to complete the trio.
Boston has relied too much on the 1st line before. We saw how that worked out for the team last season.
But the number of times that they have gotten a raw deal from the refs is too many to count. It seems like it happens all the time.
Well, Bruins fans aren’t imagining things. The stats prove that Boston has gotten games taken away from them more than any other team.
This is just absolutely preposterous. How on Earth could the Bruins have such a disadvantage with the refs?
Now I don’t think that the NHL has a clear bias against the Bruins. That would be even worse than the Tim Donaghy scandal.
Also one would think that the NHL would want an original 6 team to be succesful. But then again maybe they want to see more success up North.
But these numbers are astonishing. They are almost hard to believe. It’s one thing to think that the refs are against you but to actually see it is a different story.
Hopefully, these numbers will change and the Bruins will stop getting games taken away from them. At this point, it only seems like true justice.
