The Boston Bruins are rumored to be interested in Brenden Dillon but he won’t help the team this season.

We are getting closer and closer to the NHL trade deadline and you will hear the Boston Bruins name a lot. They got off to an amazing start but one move could make them the top team in the NHL.

The Bruins could always use some depth on offense. The 1st line has been the driving force for Boston with David Pastrnak leading the way with almost 40 goals.

Boston could also use some help on defense and the latest rumors have them looking to bring someone in. According to the fine folks up North at TSN, The Bruins are interested in Brenden Dillon.

Dillon is a solid defensemen. He seems to be headed towards another 20+ point season.

But there are definitely some reasons that Dillon wouldn’t fit in Boston. Mainly the fact that he is a left-shot defensemen.

If there is one thing the Bruins don’t need, its a left-shot defensemen. They only have 4 right-shot defensemen who have played this season. If the Bruins are going to acquire a defensemen it is most likely gonna be a right shot.

But I don’t think Dillon is worth the investment. His numbers aren’t spectacular and we have some young players coming up in the AHL.

The only move Boston should make is for a winger that can help boost the 2nd line. If the Bruins can have a strong top 6 they will be the favorites to win the Cup.

We have heard rumors about the Bruins being interested in guys like Tyler Toffoli and Chris Kreider for what seems like years at this point. Maybe this trade deadline they finally make the move?

Next. Charlie McAvoy needs to start scoring. dark

But one thing is clear and that is that the Boston Bruins shouldn’t be interested in Brenden Dillon.
