The New England Patriots will likely pick a quarterback once again in 2020 and Anthony Gordon is a sneaky option for the team.
The 2020 NFL Draft is inching closer and the New England Patriots are still without a definite quarterback for the upcoming season.
It seems more and more likely that the Patriots will select a quarterback once again. Jarret Stidham had an impressive preseason in 2019 but I don’t know if he is ready to take over the reins.

So that means the Patriots have to see their options in the NFL Draft. There are the talents like Jake Fromm and Tua Tagovailoa who are being talked about but there are also under the radar prospects. The Patriots are known for loving those guys.
Gordon didn’t start playing football until high school but he sure is talented. He dominated at the JUCO level and got a chance to play at Washington State.
Once given the chance to start during his senior year, Gordon showed the type of quarterback he could be. He threw for over 5,500 yards and 40 touchdowns.
There are many reasons why Gordon would fit in New England. He has a quick release which is perfect for the short routes the Patriots love to run. He also has great pocket presence and can make throws under pressure.
The Patriots would need a quarterback who can make impressive throws in tight windows. Gordon definitely seems like he could be that guy.
Also, the fact that Gordon will be available when the Patriots need him makes him a great option. The Patriots would likely not have to move up to acquire Gordon.
Anthony Gordon is definitely a player we could see in a New England Patriots uniform next season.
