There is no denying that Boston Celtics fans are witnessing Jayson Tatum become a superstar.

This season was filled with question marks for Boston Celtics fans. I think they will like the answers.

After the departure of Kyrie Irving and Al Horford, it was tough to get a gauge on the team. Would they struggle or would they improve?

A common belief was that Irving stunted the growth of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum because of how much the point guard demanded the ball. So fans were expecting Tatum and Brown to perform better this season.

Throughout the 2019-20 season, Jayson Tatum has proven that he is everything Celtics fans expected. He is becoming an NBA superstar.

This season Tatum is averaging over 20 points and 7 rebounds a game. He even made it to his 1st All-Star game.

But there still were some doubts. Would Tatum continue to perform well or was this just a great start to the season?

After Tatum’s performance against the LA Lakers on Sunday you know that Tatum is a superstar.

The Celtics were without Kemba Walker due to a knee injury so they would be facing LeBron James and Anthony Davis shorthanded.

But that wouldn’t matter because Tatum went off. It was by far his best performance of the season and arguably his career. He had 41 points and 5 rebounds.

Tatum could not miss. It didn’t matter if it was from the free throw line or the three point line. Having a performance like this against the Lakers shows just how far Tatum has come.

He is someone who can be relied on to take over games and even win some for the C’s. He is the No.1 guy on the Celtics right now.
