Tom Brady might not be on the New England Patriots, but he still deserves to be protected when people come after his crown.

If you are a fan of the New England Patriots you have been put in a tough spot. The greatest player in franchise history has left the team so what do you do? Do you root for Tom Brady’s demise or hope that he performs well in Tampa Bay?

Personally, I’m not going to forget everything that Brady has done for New England. he has brought so much joy to our lives with his success on the football field. Also, let’s not forget his charitable contributions off the field.

More from Chowder and Champions

Tom Brady is still a major part of New England so I will still defend him with all my will. That’s why I am questioning Terry Bradshaw’s sanity after his recent comments about the quarterback.

It isn’t even a debate at this point. Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever play the game of football. Some might even say the best football player of all time.

Bradshaw must like being a contrarian cause he didn’t just say that Tom Brady wasn’t the GOAT. He said that there are multiple quarterbacks better than Brady.

"“I don’t think he’s the greatest quarterback of all-time,” said Bradshaw. “It’s hard to say. He may be the best quarterback we’ve had in the last 30 years. Is he better than [Roger] Staubach? No. Is he better than Dan Fouts? No. Dan Marino? No. I’m talking talent-wise when you’re putting all of it together."

Dan Fouts? Really Bradshaw? That is just preposterous.

Brady has won 6 Super Bowls and is the king of 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives. He has thrown for over 74,000 yards and 541 touchdowns. Fouts could only dream of putting up numbers like that. Brady has double Fouts TD total.

Just watching Brady play you can see how talented he is. Brady’s pocket presence is 2nd to none and his accuracy is off the charts. He knows just where to put the ball to allow his receivers to catch it.

Also, you have to factor in just how long Brady has been performing at such a high level. I don’t think we will ever see anything like it again.

So can someone please check on Terry Bradshaw because this statement is concerning to say the least.
