The NHL has announced the start date for Phase 3 so we now know when Boston Bruins training camp will begin.

We have received plenty of updates from the NBA, but since Gary Bettman’s speech, we haven’t heard a lot from the NHL. Boston Bruins fans will be happy about the latest news from the league.

The NHL announced the start date for Phase 3 of the return to play plan. This is when teams will report to training camp and will prepare for games to begin relatively soon after that.

This is awesome news. We haven’t heard a lot so now that we know that the plan is moving smoothly it seems that hope is growing.

With how things are lining up it looks like the NHL will be competing with the NBA. The NHL might be able to start off the playoffs before the NBA which could help bring more fans to the game.

Bruins fans have already gotten a treat from the team. We got to see Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand return to the ice on Wednesday. Their smiles showed how happy they were to be skating again.

It’s crucial to get guys like Bergeron and Marchand skating again. They need to get their legs under them and be ready for when games begin. Boston has a more balanced team, but they will always rely on the 1st line.

Also, Marchand and Bergeron (especially) aren’t too old but aren’t too young either. You worry that they could struggle after not playing for so long. Hopefully, that won’t be the case.

We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It might seem like an eternity but soon we will have sports back. Not just any sports either. We will get playoff hockey which is in my opinion the most exciting thing in all of sports.

Next. Hockey is back in Boston. dark

So don’t worry Bruins fans, we will be watching hockey games rather soon.
