Boston Celtics: 5 takeaways from disappointing defeat to Bucks
By Sam Minton
The Boston Celtics fought hard but they were unable to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.
We finally got to see what the Boston Celtics looked like in competitive action for the first time on Friday. Everyone can agree that it was a very interesting game.
It was hard to know what to expect from the C’s. We have seen them play in some exhibition games but it’s hard to immediately jump into games that actually matter.

It was really just a joy to watch live basketball again. It’s almost like we aren’t living in the middle of a global pandemic (spoiler alert we still are). Even though the Celtics ended up losing 119-112.
As you can tell by the score, there was plenty of offense to go around. Giannis Antetokounmpo went off scoring 36 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.
One thing is abundantly clear, Giannis is still the best player in basketball and the Bucks are still a really good team. They showed why they are the favorites in the Eastern Conference.
Still, there were some good things to take away from this game as a Celtics fan. They didn’t play all that bad. Boston proved that they can compete with the best team in the East. The C’s just need to fix a few things.
So let’s take a look at the five takeaways from the disappointing yet exciting 119-112 loss against the Bucks on Friday night down in Orlando.
