Boston Celtics vs Toronto Raptors showdown: 3 things the C’s needs to prove
Can the Boston Celtics find success off the bench?
What separates the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics is the depth of the Raptors.
With one of the best, if not the best starting lineups in all the NBA, the Celtics need to prove against a team like the Raptors that they can get effective bench play.

We all know what Marcus Smart brings off the bench, but besides Enes Kanter, the Celtics need other players to step up on a consistent basis on both sides of the court.
Like Robert Williams did on Wednesday night, they also have to bring the energy.
So, who are we watching and who needs to prove something?
As a team that will probably go just 8 or 9 deep once the playoffs start, players like Brad Wanamaker, Semi Ojeleye and 2020 first-round picks Romeo Langford and Grant Williams need to prove they can give the Celtics valuable and productive minutes against championship caliber teams like the Toronto Raptors.
With players like Carsen Edwards, Javonte Green and big man sensation Tacko Fall also capable of giving the team some good minutes off the bench, the key players off the bench besides Marcus Smart are Ojeleye and Langford.
Semi Ojeleye because he is tough defensively and capable of knocking down shots and Romeo Langford for what he can do as a wing player. If those two players can bring the energy off the bench consistently, the Boston Celtics become a deeper team.
In all, the entire bench needs to prove they can both keep the team in games when the stars are either in foul trouble or need rest and extend leads when they are inserted in games.
