The McAvoy hit turned into goals and on Monday, the goals were coming in bunches for Jake DeBrusk. Prior to Game 4, DeBrusk had struggled, but now he got the monkey off of his back.

More from Boston Bruins

DeBrusk scored the first goal of the game for the Bruins. It wasn’t pretty but it showed off his skill. DeBrusk bolted past a Carolina defender and evaded Reimer to put the puck in the net.

But DeBrusk wasn’t done yet. He helped extend the Bruins lead at a crucial point. Around 4 minutes separated DeBrusk’s goals.

His 2nd goal showed just how good the 2nd line was playing Ondrej Kase showed his skill and showed why the Bruins acquired him. He is making Bruins fans forget about all the shenanigans prior to the bubble.

Now that DeBrusk has scored, Boston’s opponents should be nervous. It looks like Boston’s top 2 lines will cause some problems. Imagine what will happen when David Pastrnak comes back.

No matter what the result was, it was a good sign to see DeBrusk score. Now he can play relaxed and not have to worry about going goalless.
