The NBA was forced to postpone all of Wednesday’s games and now it seems likely that the Boston Celtics will not play as well on Thursday.

The NBA witnessed something that we have never seen before. Players were apart of a moment that will live in history, and the Boston Celtics will probably join them.

On Wednesday the NBA was forced to postpone their games. Why do you ask? Well, the players among others have had enough.

More from Chowder and Champions

After the tragic killing of George Floyd and the subsequent protest, NBA players were looking to continue the momentum down in Orlando. This was a risk seeing that it can seem hard to enact change when you are stuck in a certain location.

That risk has appeared to have not exactly paid off. After Jacob Blake was shot seven times by the police and left paralyzed from the waist down, players were fed up. They felt they were powerless in the bubble. Jaylen Brown among many other players were outspoken and Brown himself said he wanted to go protest.

If Brown or others wanted to leave the bubble that would have been perfectly fine. They should have had the support of the teams.

But the players took it one step further. The Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic walked off the court and announced they would not play. The Bucks went back to their locker room and spoke to government leaders back in Wisconsin. LeBron James was vocal and it seemed that a coordinated effort was taking place.

That ended up being the case. The rest of the games were not played and it seems like the Celtics won’t play on Thursday either. At the end of the day, these players are not just athletes, they are human beings.

Next. Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker a special duo threat. dark

It would be surprising if the Celtics play on Thursday. Both teams have talked about the possibility of not playing. Basketball will just have to wait.
