New England won their first game of the 2020 season 21-11. That score might not get you excited, but you should be. This is a new look Patriots roster.
On offense, we saw designed runs for a QB. The running game as a whole was stressed significantly. The Patriots can still air the ball out, but gone are the days of launching up 40 plus passes a game.
The Patriots defense was the same though. They once again had a great game for the team as New England won the turnover battle forcing three turnovers. The secondary was impressive and it looks like New England’s front seven will perform just fine
Still, it might be best to temper expectations. The Patriots did just play the Miami Dolphins. They aren’t exactly the best team in the league. New England will face much tougher opponents.
But this was a great start to the season for the Patriots. It’s something they can build off of and hopefully just the start of a long winning streak.
These Five players helped lead New England to victory on Sunday.
