Boston Celtics: 3 players to be thankful for in 2020 – No.1: Jayson Tatum

The player that Celtics fans will be most thankful for is Jayson Tatum. Tatum is the face of the franchise after agreeing to a long term deal. He is the guy in Boston now.

Every season Tatum has improved. 2020 was some of his best work yet. Tatum averaged  23.4 points and 7 rebounds a game.

What stood out was Tatum’s ability to get to the free throw line. He was finally getting those star calls and it helped the Celtics out a lot.

Now that we know for a fact that Tatum isn’t going anywhere it will be interesting to watch him grow. Can he be a top player in the NBA? Can he lead Boston to the NBA Finals? C’s fans will just have to wait and see.

But Celtics fans are happy to have Tatum as a foundational piece. With him leading the way they know that the team is in good hands.

Next. No overhaul needed as Celtics build for 2020-21. dark

So as we inch closer to Thanksgiving let’s remember how lucky we are to be Celtics fans.
