The New England Patriots were able to end the 2020 season with a victory and these three players were able to end the season on a high note.

Well, the trainwreck of a 2020 season for the New England Patriots. At least they were able to end the season with a victory and some players had some great performances.

With the win, New England finished the season with a record of 7-9. The Patriots finished with a sub .500 record and showed just how far they have fallen. The only positive is that New England still isn’t as bad as the Jets.

Patriots fans are used to preparing for the playoffs, but that is no longer the case. Now, all that fans in New England have to look forward to is the draft.

This is sure to be an interesting offseason for the Patriots. A lot of players seem like they could be on the move and may have played their last game as a Patriot.

But for now, let’s focus on the positive. Here are the three players who finished the 2020 season on a high note.

New England Patriots: Three players who ended 2020 season on a high note – No.1: Cam Newton

This definitely wasn’t the season that Cam Newton imagined when he made his return to the NFL. He had a point to prove and wanted to show that he was still a top quarterback in the NFL.

It’s fair to say that Newton failed. While Newton can still run the ball, his passing prowess is lacking. Newton threw for a handful of touchdowns while throwing double-digit interceptions.

The good thing for Newton is that he ended the season with a solid performance. He had one of the best passing games of the season with 242 passing yards and three touchdowns. Newton also ran for 79 yards.

With all the signs pointing to Newton leaving New England, this performance will hopefully help entice a team to sign him.

So the Cam Newton experienced in New England can only be described as a failure. He was supposed to help the team possibly compete for a playoff spot. Taking third place in the AFC East is embarrassing. If it wasn’t for the Jets they would have ended up in last place.

So while things weren’t great for Newton in 2020, he was at least able to leave fans with a positive memory if this was his last game in New England.
