The Boston Bruins won Game 4 by the score 6-2 against the Florida Panthers after a bounce back win in Game 3.

The Bruins have extended their lead 3-1 and is one win away from winning the First Round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Both Krejci and Bergeron were out for the Bruins as they were in Game 4, but Coach Jim Montgomery said that Bergeron is on track to play in Game 5 on Wednesday at TD Garden.

Garnet Hathaway was taken out briefly by a cross-check by Panthers forward Matthew Trachuk late in the 1st period but returned in the 2nd period.

These are my three stars of Game 4.

1. Taylor Hall secures four points to help Boston Bruins win

Taylor Hall scored two goals and two assists for four points to lead the Bruins to victory in Game 4. The four points is a Playoff-high for Hall in his career. Taylor Hall scored his two goals in the 3rd period during the 3-0 run that clinched the victory for the Boston Bruins.

The first one was a sweet breakaway goal and the other was an empty-netter.

Taylor Hall assisted on both of Jake DeBrusk’s goals, which we’ll talk more about DeBrusk later. Hall has had a goal in the last three games in the series and he has 7 total points in the series so far (4 goals, 3 assists).

Hall has had a nice comeback after an injury sidelined him for 2 months, and he is needed on the shorthanded Bruins squad and he has delivered.

2.  DeBrusk scores a pair for the Boston Bruins

Jake DeBrusk scored 2 goals in the 3rd time in the playoffs in his career on Sunday in Game 4. He had 2 goals in Game 4 of the 2020 Eastern Conference 1st round against the Carolina Hurricanes and in the Game 7 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2018.

DeBrusk scored the Power Play goal in Game 2 while being assisted by Demitry Orlov and Hall. He had scored his 2nd goal which was the first of the 3-0 goal run.

DeBrusk already had a goal in the series as he scored a goal in the Game 1 win at TD Garden and had 2 assists in Game 3.

3.  Ullmark delivers a great playoff performance for the Boston Bruins

Linus Ullmark started in net for the 4th straight game and he excelled with a 41 save performance on 43 shots on goal by the Panthers offense.

Ullmark even picked up an assist on the 1st goal by Taylor Hall in the 3rd period as he was followed by Tomas Nosek.

This is Ullmark’s 3rd career assist and 2nd point of the season, as the first came from the incredible goal that went viral online against the Vancouver Canucks.

Ullmark ended his night throwing punches after being fought by Trachuk twice as he had to be taken out as the brawls have been become a recurring theme in this series between the most recent President’s Trophy winners. He was replaced by Jeremy Swayman who’s made his first action of the playoffs.

Next. Boston Bruins begin their quest for the Stanley Cup vs Florida Panthers. dark

What exactly has Ullmark not done this season? The world may never know.

The Boston Bruins will look to close out the series with a win on Game 5 when the two teams will go back to TD Garden on Wednesday.
