Patriots SB52: Alshon Jeffery guarantees Eagles bring ‘trophy back to Philly’
By Sam Minton

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery decided to tempt fate and guarantee a win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
The New England Patriots have won five Super Bowls. You would think that opposing players would realize this and try to not poke the bear that is Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
Yet here we are again.
Another opposing player attacking the Patriots and flat out saying that the Eagles are guaranteed to win the Super Bowl.
"“Ain’t no ‘if,’ man,” Jeffery said, via Pro Football Talk. “When we win on Sunday, ain’t no telling what we’re going to do. But we’re probably going to celebrate, have some fun.”“We’re bringing that trophy back to Philly."

Not the best move

I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t try and give extra motivation to the Patriots. Brady is looking to solidify his spot as the greatest quarterback of all time. Also, this win could make him one of the best overall players in the history of the league. Rob Gronkowski has missed two straight Super Bowls and will obviously be excited. This just seems like an amateur move here from Jeffery.
Now we all know that each player on their respective teams believe they will win, but maybe just keep that in house. If you didn’t think the Patriots were going to blow out the Eagles you might as well now.
The Patriots are known for making opposing players eat their words. We saw it when the Steelers were so concerned with facing the Patriots in the AFC championship they forgot they had to beat the Jaguars. Then when the Pats played the Jaguars they made Jalen Ramsey pay for stating they would be the ones playing in the Super Bowl.
