New England Patriots: Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady know how to play football
By Sam Minton
The talk prior to Tuesday was how the New England Patriots were on the decline. After Tuesday’s practice, it is going to be hard to say that.
The talk for the past two weeks was how Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski have been missing from OTA’s. Would this be the end of the New England Patriots dynasty? Would Brady and Gronk be at the same level? After Tuesday’s practice, it appears that all is well in New England.
Everyone was interested to see how Brady and Gronkowski would perform in their first practice. They both skipped the optional parts of the Patriots offseason program and it was expected that the duo would show some rust. They did the exact opposite.
Brady completed 10 of his 12 passes in 11-on-11 drills and ended the day completing 14 of his last 15 passes. Now I know there are a lot of you out there who miss seeing Tom Brady throw the pigskin so here is a little gift for you.
Brady was out there throwing like it was the middle of the regular season. He was dropping dimes to the corner of the end zone. He actually got to work very quickly with new Patriot Jordan Matthews as he caught Brady’s two best throws of the day.

Gronk was having fun
Now Rob Gronkowski is back to his old self. He was having a blast. The best moment came when Gronkowski made a great catch over two defenders in the end zone. Gronk let out a scream and unleashed his epic Gronk Spike.
Gronkowski spoke to reporters after practice and seemed very happy to be back.
"“It felt good,” Gronkowski said. “It’s awesome to see the guys again, be back out on the field with them just competing. It was good competition today. It was fast. Feels good to be back out there, seeing where I’m at, seeing how the body feels and everything. It’s been a little bit. The most enjoyable part of it was just seeing the guys again, the camaraderie around the locker room, out on the field. It’s just good.”"
