Sean Kuraly must have born to be a member of the Boston Bruins. His style of play reminds you of a time when the game was all about physicality.

Sean Kuraly may not be the flashiest player. He may not light up the stat sheet, but he is an important member of the Boston Bruins.

Kuraly was a key member of the Bruins 4th line last season. He, Tim Schaller and Noel Acciari reminded fans of the infamous merlot line. These guys could wear opposing players down and also put some pucks in the net.

The center had a solid season scoring 6 goals and 8 assists. He had a rating of -5 which isn’t ideal, but when you are on the 4th line it is kind of expected.

More from Chowder and Champions

Kuraly is just an absolute firecracker on the ice. He instantly brings energy to the game, which can sometimes lead to goals.

Prediction time:

The Bruins made some acquisitions this offseason that may have you questioning Kuraly’s role for next season. The Chris Wagner and Joakim Nordstrom signings were interesting and made head coach Bruce Cassidy’s life a little bit more difficult.

I think the Bruins should keep Kuraly on the 4th line. He is the perfect player for that role. With Schaller departing for Vancouver, Wagner should be on the line as well. These two could definitely become a dangerous duo that can make the TD Garden boards shake, and also score some goals as well.

I’m not expecting Kuraly to put up monster numbers. He is a 4th liner after all. If Kuraly scores 10 goals and 10 assists Bruins fans should be happy. The most important thing for Kuraly is keeping that rating positive. If the Bruins 4th line isn’t allowing goals the Bruins will be in a good position to win a lot of games.

Sean Kuraly doesn’t light the lamp often but he impacts the game in a major way. Hopefully this 4th line grinder will have another solid season.
