New England Patriots predictions: 3 players who will make ESPN’s 2019 list
By Sam Minton
Only two New England Patriots made the ESPN Top 100 list this season. Next season that number will definitely increase.
The New England Patriots have some of the best players in the league on their roster. That was proven when ESPN released their Top 100 players of 2018. Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski cracked the list making it into the top 15 ( Tom Brady at No.2 is insane).
That may seem great, but the Patriots have plenty of great players. Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski aren’t single-handedly carrying the team. Why no love for the defense ESPN?
But do not fret Patriots fans. Next season I expect an uptick in Patriots on the list.

Here are 3 Patriots who I think will be on the list next season.
Sony Michel
Sony Michel may be injured, but I think he is poised to have a great season. The rookie just has the skills to be one of the best running backs in the NFL.
Michel is coming off a great Senior season at Georgia. He had 156 carries for 1,227 yards and 16 touchdowns.
When Michel comes back I think he will seamlessly transition to the Patriots offense. That may be a lot to ask for from a rookie, but I think Michel can do it.
The Patriots will have to rely on the running game a lot in the first month of the season. With Julian Edelman suspended, I expect the Patriots to try and establish the running game in the first 4 weeks of the regular season.
If Michel can start the season off with a bang I think we will be seeing him on the top 100.
