The New England Patriots gave Rob Gronkowski a nice little raise, and it seems that there is no other place the tight end would rather be.

You know people love to talk about how difficult it is to be a member of the New England Patriots. How on Earth could you have fun there?

Well, it seems that one of the funniest players in the NFL loves playing in New England. Rob Gronkowski spoke for the first time after getting paid and he had nothing but good things to say about the organization.

"“I’m super satisfied with my situation,” Gronkowski said. “If I wasn’t, I would try to pull a move like they (Aaron Donald and Julio Jones) did. It works out. You get rewarded for holding out. But I’m not frustrated at all or anything. I’m super satisfied and just ready to go. Ready to play. That’s my main focus."

A lot was made about Gronkowski’s actions in the offseason. There was that bizarre interview that he gave at Gillette Stadium that irked a lot of Patriots fans. Rumors began to run wild saying that the Patriots were fed up with Gronkowski and were looking to trade him.

Now even if these rumors have some truth to them I don’t think they matter. Clearly, Gronkowski isn’t affected by them.

It seems that all the conflict in New England may have been a bit overblown. Alex Guerrero is flying with the team and Gronkowski and Tom Brady are getting paid. I don’t think the sky will be falling anytime soon.

Gronkowski could have a really big season. He will be Brady’s No.1 target and should get plenty of targets early on. As long as Gronkowski stays healthy, he will dominate. I think this could be Gronkowski’s best season yet.

I think Gronkowski will spend his entire career in New England. Can you really imagine him playing anywhere else?

The only way Gronk leaves is if his play falls off a cliff, but I expect Gronkowski to retire before that happens. For all, we know Gronkowski may retire before Tom Brady does. All of those injuries definitely take a toll.

Next. Predicting Tom Brady’s favorite targets this season. dark

Sunday can’t come soon enough. The New England Patriots face off against the Houston Texans and hopefully it will be the start of a great season for Rob Gronkowski.
