Jakub Lauko is dominating the preseason and is definitely a guy that Boston Bruins fans should keep an eye on.

The Boston Bruins may have a new young stud.

Jakub Lauko has been playing great so far in the preseason. The 18-year-old looks like a veteran out on the ice and continues to make a good impression.

In 2 preseason games, Lauko has 2 goals. He has shown off his amazing speed and looks like he could be a great goal scorer in the future.

I don’t know if it’s possible with such a stacked roster, but if Lauko continues to score, you have to consider putting him on the final roster. The NHL today is all about speed. Last season we saw that the Bruins aren’t the quickest team. Lauko would immediately make them 20 times faster.

Would it be that big of a deal to have Lauko on the 3rd or 4th line? The only issue is that the Bruins went out and signed veteran players like Joakim Nordstrom and Chris Wagner to bolster the bottom of the Bruins offense.

The most likely scenario for Lauko is that he ends up in the AHL with Providence.

This will be an important season for Lauko. A good preseason means nothing if you struggle in the minors.

If Lauko puts up great numbers in Providence, I think we will see him in Boston next season. Unlike Claude Julien, current Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy isn’t afraid to give the young guys a chance. He stated that there won’t be a ton of new guys on this year’s roster, but next year is a completely different story.

If Lauko produces it would be hard to not give himself a chance to prove himself in Boston.

Also, the Bruins tend to get injured a lot. For all, we know Lauko could end up in Boston to replace an injured player.

Next. Boston Bruins: Adam McQuaid will be missed. dark

So if you can catch Lauko play when he is down in Providence this season you will see a show. He is definitely a player that will play a big role in the Bruins future.
