The New England Patriots needed to win in Week 4. It was as simple as that.
If the Patriots lost they would have been down 3 games to the Miami Dolphins in the AFC East and in a hole they probably couldn’t get out of. Thankfully we don’t have to think about that anymore.
The Patriots destroyed the Dolphins so bad they probably won’t be the same. This was definitely the Pats best effort of the season.

If Cordarrelle Patterson is scoring 55-yard touchdowns, you are going to have a good day.
The Patriots defense also finally showed up. You really saw the impact of having Patrick Chung and Trey Flowers on the field. The defense looked completely different.
New England actually had a pass rush and Dont’a Hightower looked like he learned how to run again.
The Dolphins struggled running the ball and the secondary controlled the passing game. It was a complete effort from the defense all around.
