The Boston Bruins have been getting plenty of production from their top line, but need better play from the rest of the squad.

The Boston Bruins have the most dominant line in the NHL. Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, and David Pastrnak are scoring at an epic rate, but the rest of the offense hasn’t been as good.

The Bruins first line makes up over 50 percent of Boston’s points this season. Clearly, the Bruins need some production from the other lines.

Jake DeBrusk is among many B’s that haven’t gotten on the score sheet and knows that he and his linemates have to play better.

"“I think we just need to generate more. These first three games are a pretty small sample size, but personally, I don’t like the way that things have been going,” DeBrusk told NBC Sports Boston’s Joe Haggerty. “I think it’ a matter of me being better, and all of us working better as a group out there. I think sometimes we’re not trying to make the simple plays, and being too cute here and there.”"

DeBrusk hasn’t been struggling this season. He is getting scoring chances and is looking good on the ice. I wouldn’t be surprised to see DeBrusk light the lamp on Thursday night against the Edmonton Oilers.

DeBrusk is coming off an insane rookie season. He was one of the Bruins top scorers and looks like he will be a permanent member of the Bruins top lines.

Ryan Donato is doing rather well also. Donato already has his first goal of the season and seems to be cementing his spot in the NHL.

So that leaves one player, David Krejci. The center seems to be insanely inconsistent. Krejci is either scoring a bunch or is incapable of scoring. Krejci is great on the power play when he can runs thing from the point, but in even strength, Krejci doesn’t perform as well.

Next. Brad Marchand may have changed over offseason. dark

So hopefully the Boston Bruins 2nd line will get the scoring going and take some of the pressure off of the top line. Even though I’m pretty sure that the B’s top guys won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
