New England Patriots: Josh Gordon on verge of something special
By Sam Minton
New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon caught his first touchdown in New England in Week 5. Patriots fans may witness something special this season.
Josh Gordon hasn’t exactly been lighting up the stat sheet, but New England Patriots fans have fallen in love with him.
Gordon seems to have the potential to be a star wide receiver. He is uber-athletic and can catch anything thrown his way.
Patriots fans saw this in Week 5. Gordon had 2 catches for 50 yards and a touchdown. The play was amazing. Tom Brady launched a ball into the end zone and Gordon was able to snag the ball even with two defenders on him.

Gillette Stadium erupted as they had just witnessed a game-winning play. Why could one play be so important?
It has taken a lot of receivers a long time to get in Tom Brady’s good graces. Usually it takes a few weeks (or even months) before the quarterback trusts you.
Gordon seems to have gained Brady’s trust almost immediately. The two seem to have a strong relationship on and off the field.
"“Most of the day we end up talking football, whether it be in the locker room here briefly or most of the meeting rooms or time after practice,” said Gordon, whose locker neighbors Brady’s. “We carve out time and we make it happen. We make sure that if there’s something that might be a concern for him or me or he wants to know how I like to do something or I want to know how he wants to do something, I just ask and he’s open about it. He makes it easier for me to communicate with him. It makes it a real natural type of relationship.”"
Patriots fans should be smiling from ear to ear. Tom Brady and Josh Gordon are a perfect match for one another. Gordon is the deep threat the Brady needed. We saw that in Week 5. The Patriots haven’t had a receiver like Gordon since Randy Moss.
I really think Gordon is going to make New England his home and have his career reborn. It takes a special player to seamlessly insert themselves into the Patriots offense.
Week 6 could be the game that Gordon truly establishes himself in New England and has a big day and I can not wait.
