Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (6-2) hosts Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (3-3-1) in a Sunday Night Football showdown.

Get your popcorn ready and continue the debate come Monday.  The Sunday night showdown between the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers will be more than two good football teams battling it out.  It will be a showcase of the two quarterbacks displaying why they carry the label G.O.A.T.

Aaron Rodgers vs. Tom Brady.

While the greatest of all time when it comes to NFL quarterbacks is a matter of opinion and fanbase, these two quarterbacks have the field work to stake their claim.  But only one has the championships to stand above the rest.

But, that really isn’t the story here.  The debate between Rodgers or Brady comes down to raw talent and whether one would be just as successful under Bill Belichick.  That’s where mental fatigue would put Brady ahead of Rodgers or any other quarterback.  It takes a special player to put up with the challenges of Belichick for so long.

It takes a player willing to put his own accolades aside for the betterment of the team.  It takes a player willing to sacrifice big bucks to keep a franchise thriving.

Yes, without Belichick and the Patriot Way there would be no TB12.  But without Tom Brady there would be no dynasty.

So, on Sunday night, greatness will be on display.  Two struggling defenses will be challenged.  When the spotlight dims and the crowd noise fades.  When the debate moves on to another page, it will be which defense made enough plays to win the game because we all know Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are showing up.  Let’s just hope it’s not the last time they share an NFL field.

Week 9 Prediction:

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will not be the only story to watch in this game.  New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has grabbed most of the headlines this week.

First of all, whether or not he even plays will be something to watch. If he does, how effective will he be?  Will we see the Rob Gronkowski of old or will he continue to struggle physically?

Next. Dear LeBron James, here’s 3 reasons Patriots QB Tom Brady is the GOAT. dark

How the offense rolls will depend on the availability of Gronkowski and running back Sony Michel.  The Patriots have proven over the last few weeks that they can find other ways to score.  In this game, they will have to score over 30 points to beat an Aaron Rodgers led offense.

The New England Patriots win this one 38-31 as a key Green Bay turnover will be the difference in the game.
