The New England Patriots returned to their winning ways in Week 12, mostly because of the great efforts by James White and Sony Michel.
Don’t you love having a great game on the ground? The New England Patriots were able to defeat the New York Jets in Week 12 because of some great performances. Even though Tom Brady had a good game, I am talking about James White and Sony Michel.
Michel once again reached over 100 yards. This was his 3rd 100-yard rushing game of the season.
When you watch Michel run it’s hard not to jump out of your seat. He can electrify the team by running over a guy or by simply breaking out for a long run.

A lot of fans were skeptical when Michel was first picked by New England in the draft (me included), but Michel seems like a steal. He will probably be the Patriots power back for the foreseeable future.
Michel was even catching balls against the Jets. After struggling with a case of butterfingers to start the year this is a pleasant sight.
New England is also starting to use James White in the run game as well. White is a great pass catcher, but it appears the Patriots are finally giving him a chance to show what he can do on the ground.
In Week 12, White racked up 73 rushing yards on just 9 carries. He was averaging over 8 yards a rush. White’s speed is what helps him out when running. He patiently waits for the hole to open up and is able to dart through it.
This season has been a big one for White. He has proven how important he is to the team. White has shown that he isn’t just a scat back who can catch passes. He can run between the tackles and still be effective.
If New England has a strong running game, the Patriots will be a very succesful team.
