2. Rob Gronkowski

Rob Gronkowski may have been absent for most of the regular season, but he sure showed up in the postseason.

It seemed like the Gronk of old was gone. We saw Gronkowski stay in to block much more often.

More from Super Bowl LIII

In the Super Bowl, Gronkowski made some important catches. Late in the 4th quarter, he put the Patriots in the red zone with a great catch. Gronkowski finished the game with 6 catches for 87 yards.

This performance was special because it might be Gronkowski’s last in the NFL. We saw injuries affect Gronk a lot this season. There isn’t a much better way to end your career than by winning a Super Bowl.

Gronkowski said he will be thinking about the decision to retire for two weeks before coming to a final conclusion, but if he is smart, Gronkowski will retire.

On Super Bowl Sunday, Rob Gronkowski proved why he is the best tight end to play the position.
