Boston Red Sox rumors: New year, new David Price
By Sam Minton
David Price went from hated to loved. Now the Boston Red Sox starting pitcher seems to have a new lease on life in Boston.
David Price hasn’t always had the best time in Boston, but now the tide has turned and the starting pitcher loves being a Boston Red Sox.
Last postseason’s success completely changed Price’s perception among Red Sox’s fans. He finally showed up and was a key part of the team’s success.
In the World Series, Price was lights out. He pitched 13.2 innings and boasted a 1.98 ERA with 10 strikeouts. No longer can you say that David Price is a choke artist’s. Like he said, he holds all the cards now.

Still if Price struggles early on in this season he will hear it from the fans. All that success in the postseason can be washed away with a few poor outings, but it looks like David Price isn’t out trying to make enemies this season.
Price went out of his way to let fans know that he loves them. He is finally appreciating Red Sox nation.
Also the pitcher has a new number. If you purchased a No.24 David Price jersey it’s officially out of date. Price is now rocking a 10 on the back of his jersey.
Now of course the Boston media decided to think of the many reasons David Price was changing his number but it was rather simple.
Price’s son is named Xavier. What is X in roman numerals? 10. Shout out to Chelsea who debunked the number change on Twitter.
So in more ways than one we will be getting a new David Price this season. It has been a long road for Price but it looks like he is finally getting the love he wanted in Boston.
If Price continues to pitch like he did last season, he won’t have to worry about anyone hating on him this season.
