New England Patriots Rumors: Malcom Mitchell missing team
By Sam Minton
Malcolm Mitchell seems to be missing his former team because he has been talking about the New England Patriots a lot recently.
It can be hard to watch your former team when a championship, but for Malcolm Mitchell it is even harder. The New England Patriots were forced to cut him because the wideout’s body gave out on him.
Mitchell has already had 10 surgeries in his young career. The wideout has had arm issues as well as knee problems. Yet he still would like to return to the NFL.

After the Patriots won the Super Bowl must of had Mitchell in his feelings because recently he has been talking about the team. Mitchell called the Patriots one of his guardian angels who he will love forever. Also he mentioned that he does miss the team.
It was bittersweet to see Mitchell leave the team. He has shown that he is a quality wide receiver but just has issues staying healthy.
The Patriots definitely have to consider bringing Mitchell back. New England is going to lose a decent amount of receivers with Phillip Dorsett and Chris Hogan become free agents. Also, Josh Gordon has proved he can’t be relied upon to stay on the field for an entire season.
I think Mitchell would take a discount to return to the team. If he is healthy the team should seriously consider bringing him back.
Mitchell only has one season under his belt. In 14 games he had 32 catches for 401 yards and 4 touchdowns. That is definitely someone who could be your 3rd wideout on the depth chart.
So it is quite possible that we could see Malcolm Mitchell return to the Patriots, but it will all hinge on if he is able to stay healthy. There’s no reason to pay someone if they can’t stay on the field.
